A study published by researchers at the Environmental Protection Agency has introduced a new twist to other well known risk factors for developing high blood pressure: Elevated Lead levels in the blood and bone. While other studies have linked high blood pressure to abnormal blood test levels of other circulating vitamins, minerals, and ions, the introduction of lead blood test levels as a possible contributor is novel.
